Adirondack Chair

We've been talking about maybe making some lawn furniture for the back yard.

This is my favorite design after a quick look around at the free DIY patterns out there. It's from Popular Mechanics, which is one of my favorite magazines to get when I take the plane.

Here's a nice, simple how-to for an adirondack chair on Amateur Woodworker.

I've always found Adirondack chairs comfortable and attractive. Do you really have time to make some? Congratulations. When we lived in Squalor Holler, one of my roommates made a beautiful outdoor sofa and chairs out of twigs and branches with the bark left on. One of the reasons I am so fond of the lab Nice Fellow is that they have the exact same chair in the courtyard. Will try to snap it for you.
