I was unable to help her with casting on or any of that arcana, but fortunately her paternal grandmother showed her, and it came back to her after she saw a diagram on an English-language website. The English knitting websites are better than the French. Why is that, do you suppose? Longer standing Internet skills? Fewer communication hangups?
