What is linkshanty? Take me back to the links

This is a place for cognoshanties to put links they find worth sharing without having to do a frickin blog post.

All you need to post is to click on the New Entry link.

Better yet, the linkshanty bookmarklet is the fastest way to post the page you're currently on.
To add the bookmarklet, just drag the above link onto your browser toolbar.
Or you can follow these detailed instructions (just replace '"my del.icio.us" button' with '"linkshanty" bookmarklet').
The bookmarklet may currently only work with Firefox.

If you can't post, just email me and I'll make sure you're on the list.
Currently on the list (I think): Kai, Tracy, Erik, Chris, Claude, Matthew, Sam. Everyone is welcome.

A good way to follow what's posted without visiting this page is to the use the linkshanty RSS feed and a feed reader like Bloglines, Google Reader, or Netvibes.

Linkshanty is a bit more flexible than just a del.icio.us list of links.
Asceticism is nice but letting URLs do the talking would be a bit bare.
Here you can do anything you can do in a blog, though sticking to one line of text might be good.
It's a blog, so you get permalinks, comments, and archives.
The feed might be enough, but it's nice to have a home page and Snap hover previews.

Other linkblog inspiration: kottke, aldaily, waxy, Cozens' speedblog, ...
