The Story of gTracka
Chapter 1: JIMMY

One day Jimmy walked in to the office with a soldering iron and started ... actually making something real. Wow. We didn't know he knew how to make real things! Actually, it turns out he learned everything he knew from Garry The Chef. Before he was done, Jimmy made some lights blink and said he'd made a serial port out of raw electricity. He was being modest. What he had forged was indeed the first GTRACKA! Overwhelmed by the crush of astonished co-workers crowding around his desk, jimmyk went to Tahiti for the winter and lost all his money gambling on crab races.
Chapter 2: JON

Before Jimmy left, he imparted his magical real-thing-making skills to Jon, who made a black box full of funny-looking stuff that was just like Jimmy's, except smaller. It had a red button as well. This, too, was a GTRACKA!!
Chapter 3: CHRIS

Awed by the accomplishments of the great Jimmy and Jon, and called in by Reed from his spiritual quest in the wilderness for one last chance at justifying his continued employment, Chris faced his fate and grappled within himself to find the real-thing-making person inside. Not locating it after a morning's frustration, Chris went to Active Electronics and asked Salesman Wesley to point the way. Outrageously misconstruing the diagrams Wesley scrawled on the back of a receipt, Chris disappeared under his desk for several days and returned with SON OF GTRACKA!!!
Chapter 4: NELSON

Horrified by the implications of Son of gTracka, while still acknowledging its twisted, brilliant innovations, senseis Hugh, Lars, Jamison and Reed huddled together and decreed that we would send to the mountain for a Master Thing Maker. Good Nelson came forth, and before the season was done had forged two beautiful, identical GTRACKAs whose craftsmanship was unsurpassed on all Newbury St. It was said by some that Nelson was trained in the mysterious black art of Electrical Engineering.
Chapter 5: MATT

Not long after Nelson's arrival, a mysterious stranger appeared. In his backpack a local innkeeper claimed to have glimpsed a soldering iron of great distinction, and rumors abounded that he had traveled hither from the land of Surface Mount. Soon he was silently working beside Nelson, praying seven times a day to SunTron. From these labors came the first of the TRUE GTRACKAS!
Chapter 6: SARA

Since the earliest days of the Project, a fair lass who some called Sara, barmaid at the University tavern, had been paying close attention. Her skill in Origami did not go unnoticed, and one day Matt spied one of her finely wrought sculptures and declared it the PAPER GTRACKA.
Chapter 7: JASON

Reed sent the Paper gTracka to a Land called Pasadena, where Jason wrought plastic copies with his giant Vacuum Forge.
Chapter 8: TOM

Tom was an artist who was greatly inspired by Sara and Jason. After many days in his studio, he appeared with a homage to the efforts of all the tracka-makers. It was deemed the TRUE SHAPE OF THE GTRACKA
Chapter 9: The Completion

When all our efforts were done, we prayed upon SunTron to take all the workings of Jimmy, Jon, Chris, Nelson, Matt, Sara, Jason, Brock, Reed, Jamison, Carrie and Tom together, and weave them into one form which would be worthy of tracking all forms of golf carts. The blinding whiteness of its skin, the glorious brightness of its LEDS, its prodigious range, and its deep and constant knowledge of its own location, were beyond our greatest dreams. It was of such perfection that we all knew to bring it to market would be a terrible violation of its inner balance and harmony. And so we lay down our tools and founded ...
THE HALL OF THE GTRACKA

Forever let us remember the achievements of the makers of the gTracka!
